Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division. You will service and repair light vehicles on-site at customers’ driveways and workplaces, following planned schedules with the tools and support provided.

You’ll work a 40-hour week with core hours and occasional Saturdays, perform diagnostics, routine servicing, and safety checks, and benefit from overtime, bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Skills

Valid UK driving licence

2 years' experience as vehicle tech

Education
