Job summary

RAC in Slough is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division, delivering planned repairs and servicing at members' locations. You’ll work from a fully equipped RAC van on pre-booked jobs across a set local schedule, avoiding reactive callouts.

The role focuses on diagnostics, repairs, and safe vehicle checks with a clear development path and access to industry accreditation, supported by RAC tools and a structured workflow.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Education
