Job summary

RAC seeks a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join its SMR division, working on pre-booked appointments across local areas with routine servicing, diagnostics, and in‑depth repairs performed away from the workshop.

You’ll follow a structured schedule, gain development opportunities, and benefit from a fully equipped RAC van, training, and a strong benefits package as part of a growing SMR team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent with 2+ years' experience
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Pre-booked appointments; no reactive callouts

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
