Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR division. You will work on planned, pre-booked jobs, delivering quality mobile servicing and diagnostics with the tools and support needed to complete repairs on customers’ driveways or car parks.

You will operate with a clear schedule, a fully equipped RAC van, and a focus on safety checks and high-quality vehicle care key to member satisfaction.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
