Job summary

The RAC is recruiting for a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR Division. You will perform planned servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repair work on member vehicles, with a scheduled day-to-day workflow and a pre-booked list of appointments.

You’ll work in Reading/Wokingham area, covering local jobs with a fully equipped RAC van and access to advanced diagnostics. The role offers a stable, structured environment and opportunities for overtime and career growth.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
