RAC is seeking Mobile Mechanics to join its SMR division. The role involves planned, pre-booked servicing and diagnostics on members' vehicles, working across the Northampton cluster with a fully equipped RAC van and tools provided. There are no emergency callouts and schedules are clearly planned.

You’ll work a 40-hour week, with Monday–Saturday availability, and benefit from a competitive base salary with overtime opportunities and structured development.

Formación

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsabilidades

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
• Pre-booked, scheduled work with no reactive callouts.

Conocimientos

2+ yrs LVM exp

5+ yrs Vehicle Tech exp

UK Driving Licence <=6 pts

Educación
