Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is expanding its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) team to deliver planned servicing and repairs directly to members’ driveways and workplaces. Mobile mechanics perform diagnostics and in-depth repairs to RAC standards, with a focus on proactive, scheduled work.

You’ll work a full-time 40-hour week across the Northampton cluster, with fixed core hours and occasional Saturdays. The role offers professional development and accreditation opportunities within a structured

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards

Skills

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maint

5+ years experience as Vehicle Tech/Me

Full UK driving licence (<6 points)
