Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician within the SMR division, delivering pre-booked, planned repairs across the Bath cluster. You’ll be on the road in a prepared RAC van, carrying out scheduled jobs with the tools and support needed to complete high-quality diagnostics and servicing.

There are no emergency callouts; you’ll enjoy a clear development pathway, competitive base pay, and potential overtime to boost earnings, all while maintaining a strong work‑life balance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• Alternatively 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
