Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division. Work is pre-booked with a clear digital schedule, focusing on planned servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs, not emergency callouts.

You’ll operate with a RAC van, full tool set, and support to deliver high-quality service. The role covers Bridgwater and surrounding areas, with a 40-hour week and overtime options.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
