Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician within the SMR Division to deliver planned servicing and diagnostics directly at members' homes or workplaces across the Bristol cluster.

You’ll work in a fully equipped RAC van with advanced diagnostics, receive structured schedules, a competitive base salary, overtime options, and opportunities for bonuses while avoiding reactive callouts.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with a full UK driving licence and fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
