Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll join a structured, pre-booked schedule delivering planned maintenance and diagnostics to members in Bridgwater and surrounding areas. No emergency calls, just high‑quality, on‑site repairs with a fully equipped RAC van and support.

The role offers a 40‑hour week (Mon–Sat with 8am–8pm shifts), potential overtime, and opportunities for progression including access to vehicle schemes and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification for light vehicle maintenance with 2+ years’ experience (or equivalent).
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
