Job summary

The RAC is expanding its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division with a Mobile Vehicle Technician role. You’ll operate on a fully planned, pre-booked schedule across local Cheltenham area, delivering routine servicing, diagnostics, and on-site repairs with access to a RAC van and tools.

Your day focuses on pre-booked appointments, not emergency calls, offering stability, a clear workflow, and opportunities to grow diagnostic and EV skills within a trusted national brand.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
