Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division to deliver planned, structured repairs and servicing directly to members, from driveways to workplaces. You’ll perform routine servicing, diagnostics with advanced mobile equipment, in-depth repairs and safety checks to RAC standards.

From day one you’ll have a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card and uniform, plus access to diagnostics, overtime options and bonus opportunities to boost earnings.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
