Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will operate on a pre‑booked schedule, visiting members at home or their workplace to deliver planned servicing, diagnostics, and repairs with a fully equipped RAC van.

You’ll work across the Cheltenham cluster with no emergency callouts, using advanced diagnostics and a range of tools to keep members moving safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
