Job summary

The RAC is expanding its SMR division and seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join a planned, pre-booked schedule of work, delivering diagnostics and in‑depth repairs on customers’ vehicles. No emergency callouts and no unpredictable shifts, with time, tools and support provided to do quality work.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
