Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the Cheltenham area. You’ll perform pre-booked, on-site servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment, delivering quality repairs with the support of a fully equipped RAC van and structured schedules.

You’ll work 40 hours a week with a core 8:30–17:00 window and a rotating Saturday. Benefits include guaranteed overtime, a pension, and a range of lifestyle perks.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
