Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll travel in a fully equipped RAC van to pre-booked appointments across the Cheltenham area, performing routine servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs with professional customer guidance.

This role offers a 40-hour week, core hours 8:30–17:00, and one in four Saturdays. You’ll receive a competitive base salary and potential overtime, with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
