Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will operate on a fixed schedule, performing planned servicing, diagnostics, and repairs for members in your local area, using mobile equipment and a RAC van.

You will work from a clear digital schedule, with no emergency callouts, and will be part of a supportive national team. A Level 2 qualification, 2 years’ experience, and a clean UK driving licence are required for the role.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Pre-booked scheduled jobs only, with member expectation.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
