Job summary

The RAC is expanding its SMR division with a Mobile Vehicle Technician role in the Maidstone cluster. You’ll work on a pre-booked schedule, performing servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs on-site at members’ driveways or workplaces.

Ideal candidates have Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance, 2+ years of experience, and a clean UK driving licence. The role offers a 40-hour week with overtime, generous benefits, and clear progression within a large national organisation.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
