Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will work on scheduled service and repair jobs with a fully equipped RAC van, following a clear digital schedule and RAC standards.

Expect diagnostic work, routine servicing, and in-depth repairs with support and parts ordering built in. Enjoy structured days, overtime options, and a strong benefits package as you help members stay mobile.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with full UK driving licence (fewer than 6 points)

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
