Job summary

The RAC is expanding its Mobile Maintenance, Repair (SMR) division with a role for a Mobile Vehicle Technician. You will perform pre-booked, on-site servicing and repairs, using advanced diagnostics and tools, across a planned schedule in the Cheltenham cluster and surrounding areas.

You’ll work 40 hours per week with core hours 8:30 am–5:00 pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays, earning a base salary of £40,178 with OTE up to £52,000 including overtime and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and scheduled maintenance of vehicles.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs that can be done on-site.
• Offer member advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
