Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division across the South West. You will operate on a pre-booked schedule, performing routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics.

You’ll benefit from a base around £40,178 with OTE up to £52,000, guaranteed overtime, and a 40-hour week with occasional Saturdays. No emergency shifts—focus on planned work and safety.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
