Job summary

The RAC is looking for a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join its SMR Division. You will perform routine servicing, diagnostics and in‑depth repairs at customers’ driveways or car parks, guided by RAC standards and with access to advanced mobile equipment.

You'll work a 40‑hour week (8:30 am–5:00 pm, 1 in 4 Saturdays) with a base salary of £40,170 and on‑target earnings up to £52,000, plus overtime opportunities and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
