Job summary

The RAC SMR division is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician to work on pre-booked, planned repairs and routine servicing across the Newbury cluster. You’ll use advanced mobile diagnostics, carry out in-depth repairs, and provide member advice with safety checks to RAC standards.

You’ll enjoy a structured workload with a 40-hour week, core hours, and occasional Saturdays, plus a competitive base salary (£40,170) with on-target earnings up to £52,000 and overtime options.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years of experience.
• Alternatively 5+ years as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with a full UK licence (≤6 points).
