Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the South East. The role centers on planned, pre-booked work delivered to members’ driveways and car parks, with a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, and advanced diagnostics provided from day one.

You will perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs with clear schedules and support for parts ordering, enjoying independence and a steady workflow without emergency callouts.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks per RAC standards.
