Job summary

RAC requires a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will perform scheduled, pre-booked servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment, with a focus on quality repairs and clear communication with RAC members.

Expect a fully equipped RAC van, 40-hour week, and progression opportunities in a structured, non-emergency mobile environment. Overtime and bonuses boost earnings beyond the base salary.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance, ideally mobile/field-based.
• UK driving licence with minimal points is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics on customer vehicles.
• Perform in-depth repairs you would normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
