Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will perform scheduled servicing and diagnostics on local customers, delivering quality repairs with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics.

You’ll work 40 hours weekly, with 1 in 4 Saturdays, and benefit from a market-based base salary plus overtime, premiums, and a flexible benefits package. You’ll be part of a national, customer‑facing mobile team delivering planned work.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards

Education
