Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR (Service, Maintenance & Repair) division. You'll work on a pre-booked schedule, diagnosing and servicing vehicles at customers’ locations with the support of advanced diagnostics and in-driveway repairs.

You’ll operate in a planned, non-emergency environment, focusing on quality workmanship with a full RAC van, tools, and a structured workflow. The role offers a clear schedule, progression, and benefits as part of a national organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you would normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Education

5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
