Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division in the UK. You’ll operate a fully equipped RAC van, following a pre-booked schedule of routine servicing, diagnostics, in-depth repairs, and safety checks, delivering quality work at members' driveways and car parks.

The role offers a base salary of £40,178 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, overtime option to £44,385, 40 hours per week, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
