Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. You will complete pre‑booked servicing, diagnostics, and repairs at customers’ premises, supported by advanced tools and a full RAC van.

You’ll work a 40-hour week with Saturday rotations, enjoy a strong base salary and potential to earn up to £52,000 OTE, plus overtime and a generous benefits package. Training and progression are available as part of a national team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and inspections
• Perform diagnostics using mobile equipment
• Complete in‑depth repairs as done in a workshop
• Provide member advice and recommendations following inspection
• Conduct vehicle safety checks to RAC standards
