Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division in the UK. You’ll work a structured, pre-booked schedule delivering planned servicing, diagnostics and repairs with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced tools.

We offer a competitive base salary of £40,178 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, 40-hour week, some Saturday work, and options for overtime and bonuses. Full UK driving licence and NVQ level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with few points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In‑depth repairs performed in a mobile setting
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
