Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division. Earn a base salary of £40,170 with on-target earnings up to £52,000. The role offers guaranteed overtime, plus overtime and bonus opportunities. Expect a 40-hour week, core hours 8:30 am–5:00 pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

You will perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs at members' locations, offering expert advice and vehicle safety checks to keep customers moving confidently.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
