Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in Stevenage area. You will follow a planned schedule of pre-booked jobs, performing routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs with the latest mobile equipment.

You will provide member guidance, carry out safety checks to RAC standards, and work within a fully equipped RAC van with tools and support to complete quality repairs. This role offers overtime and a clear, non-emergency workflow.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years as Vehicle Technician.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
