Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is recruiting Mobile Vehicle Technicians for the SMR division. You will work across Hemel Hempstead and surrounding areas on pre-booked jobs, not reactive callouts, delivering quality repairs and servicing from a fully equipped RAC van.

Expect a structured development pathway, tools provided, and opportunities to grow in a national organisation with ongoing training and accreditation support.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
• Work through a clearly planned schedule of pre-booked appointments.
