Job summary

The RAC is expanding its SMR division with a Mobile Vehicle Technician role. You will work on a planned schedule across Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell, and surrounding areas, delivering servicing, diagnostics, and repairs directly at customers’ locations.

You will operate in a structured environment with no emergency callouts, focusing on high‑quality work and professional service backed by RAC resources and support.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance or related role.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and inspections on customer vehicles.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment on site locations.
• In‑depth repairs performed away from a workshop setting.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
