Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will perform pre‑booked, on‑the‑road servicing and diagnostics, delivering high‑quality repairs with the necessary tools and support.

You’ll follow a clear schedule rather than reactive callouts, working across Coventry area and surrounding towns. You’ll gain ongoing development, a fully equipped RAC van, and a structured progression pathway with potential EV/diagnostic training.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in‑depth repairs you’d typically complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
