Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for SMR, covering a local Horsham cluster with pre-booked appointments and no emergency callouts. You'll use advanced diagnostics, perform routine servicing and in-depth repairs, and advise members on findings.

Expect a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and a clear development path with structured support and accreditation opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs.
• Work from pre-booked schedule and maintain RAC standards.
• Advise members and perform safety checks on vehicles.

Skills

5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Tech/М

Diagnostics experience

Full UK driving licence

Education
