RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will operate on pre-booked jobs with a planned schedule, servicing and diagnosing vehicles at members’ locations. You’ll perform in-depth repairs, advise members, and carry out safety checks following RAC standards.

Expect a fully equipped RAC van, ongoing training, and support. The role emphasizes independence, quality workmanship, and delivering planned maintenance rather than reactive breakdowns.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsabilités

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
