Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR division. You will operate on a scheduled list of pre-booked jobs across local areas, using advanced diagnostics and on-site tools. This role offers structured, non-emergency work with full training and a clear development path.

You’ll start with a fully equipped RAC van, uniform, fuel card, and progressive overtime opportunities. Competitive base salary and potential bonuses reflect experience and performance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or 5+ years' experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics.
• Perform in-depth repairs to RAC standards.
• Provide member guidance and recommendations after inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks and quality control.
• Work from a pre-booked schedule with planned appointments.
