Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll handle pre-booked diagnostics, routine servicing and in-depth repairs for members at their driveways or workplaces, with no emergency callouts.

Based in the Bridgwater cluster, you’ll cover nearby towns with a fully equipped RAC van, 40 hours a week and occasional Saturdays. A clear development path and generous overtime options support your professional growth.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs
• Member guidance and recommendations after inspection
• Vehicle safety checks to RAC standards
