Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. You’ll operate a fully equipped RAC van delivering pre‑booked servicing and diagnostics to members in Bridgwater and surrounding areas.

Working 40 hours per week with paid overtime options, you’ll complete routine servicing, in‑depth repairs and safety checks, using advanced mobile diagnostics. A driving licence and relevant experience are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic; driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
