Job summary

The RAC in the United Kingdom is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician within the SMR Division. This full-time role offers a 40-hour week with core hours 8:30 to 17:00 and 1 in 4 Saturdays, a base salary of £40,178 and on-target earnings up to £52,000.

You’ll work on a schedule, diagnosing and servicing members' vehicles at their location with a fully equipped RAC van and tools. There are guaranteed overtime options and additional bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic (2+ years; 5+ years preferred).

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
