Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division in London. You will work on a pre-booked schedule across Streatham and surrounding areas, carrying out servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs with RAC equipment and support.

The role offers a base salary of £45,378 with potential to reach £57,000 through overtime and bonuses, 40-hour weeks and occasional Saturday work. You will represent RAC on the road, providing professional advice to members.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience required.
• Alternatively, 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing on customer vehicles.
• Use advanced mobile diagnostics equipment.
• Carry out in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Complete vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
