Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for Windsor. Servicing, maintenance and repair occur at customers' homes or workplaces from prebooked appointments. 40 hours weekly, Mon–Fri 8:30am–5pm with one Saturday per month; overtime paid after hours and on Saturdays.

Salary £45,370 (inclusive of LWA) with OTE in excess of £57,000. Benefits include generous holiday, pension, life insurance, training, and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles, in workshop or mobile role.
• Must have a full UK driving licence - max 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) at customer locations (driveway, office car park, etc).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools/software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Handle payments through card transactions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive technology and repair techniques.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.

Job description

Mobile Vehicle Technician providing servicing, maintenance and repair, via prebooked appointments, at customers home address or place of work. This is a new and specialist division for the number one national breakdown company in the UK, with over 15 million members.

Must have right to work in the UK status.

Location: Windsor

Pay / salary:£45,370 (inclusive of LWA) OTE: In Excess of £57,000

Job type:Permanent / Full time role

Shift and schedule for the Mobile Technician role Home based, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am 5pm with 1 Saturday per month. When working the Saturday, you will receive a day off in that week. Any overtime past 5pm or an additional Saturday, is paid at time and a half (£30ph)

1 day of overtime per month = £3,000 additional per year; 2 days of overtime per month = £5,000 additional per year, completely optional more flexibility, more reward.

What youll need to be considered for the Mobile Technician role

• Must have a minimum of Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, orequivalent)
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles. Either in a workshop or mobile vehicle type role.
• The ability to work independently, make decisions on the go, and follow procedures.
