Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join its Patrol division. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and ending each day from home in a 40-hour week with overtime opportunities.

You’ll bring a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, plus a full UK driving licence. You’ll receive a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle faults such as flat batteries, tyre changes and fault-finding.
• Start and finish the day from home; 40-hour weeks with overtime opportunities.
