Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division across the UK. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostic work, and emergency breakdown support while delivering top-notch member service.

Candidates need NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years as a Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points. Day-to-day starts and finishes at home with a RAC van and tools provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Support emergency breakdowns across the UK.
• Attend calls and get members back on the road in local area.
