Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division, delivering expert roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will work with your RAC van, diagnostics kit, and full uniform provided, starting and finishing from your home driveway.

The role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
• Provide emergency breakdown support with quick, confident solutions.
• Start and end shifts from home with RAC van and equipment provided.

Education
