Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join its Patrol division. You will diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and provide urgent breakdown support across the UK, using the latest diagnostic tools to get members back on the road quickly.

The role offers a strong base salary of £36,400 with an attractive OTE of £61,000, with overtime and bonus opportunities. You’ll grow through a structured development programme and gain IMI accreditation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience or
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and provide quick, confident solutions to members.
• Work independently to diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely.
