Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in the Patrol division to deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide confident solutions and reassure members while you help them continue their journey.

We offer a structured development pathway with ongoing training and IMI accreditation opportunities. Starting with a base salary of £36,400 and an achievable OTE around £61,000, the role includes demand-led shifts averaging ~40

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

Deliver mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
Diagnose faults and solve problems to help members continue their journeys safely.
Work independently to identify faults and provide quick, confident solutions.
Utilise latest diagnostic technology and support ongoing skill development.
