Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick solutions, and help members continue their journeys safely.

Join our Patrol division with a strong base pay of £36,400 and an OTE of £61,000, plus structured development and opportunities for IMI accreditation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Or: 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and provide quick, confident solutions for members.
• Work independently to identify faults and reassure members as they continue their journeys.

Education
